For the photo shoot featuring the new Ada and the Marie sofa, as well as selected classics, the Zagłębie Palace of Culture served as the setting for an atmospheric production in which architecture and furniture design engage in a quiet dialogue.
The ensemble of Freifrau designs unfolds in the building’s spacious rooms, whose monumental post-war architecture continues to shape the cultural identity of the Silesia region to this day. As a representative building of socialist modernism, the Zagłębie Palace of Culture combines a clear, powerful architectural language with expansive interiors that are tailor-made for scenic arrangements between object and space.
In this context, Ada and Marie encounter familiar models such as Leya and Ivy, collectively painting a picture of continuity and evolution within the design language. Ada’s clear presence and the embracing form of the Marie sofa enter into a dynamic interplay with the architecture, which simultaneously lends them both tranquillity and grandeur.
